Rajkot: At this time, one week fast delivery is being undertaken as per the arrangements made by the government to ensure fast availability of rationing supplies. Supply Officer Puja Bawla said that a token system has been implemented to prevent congestion in the distribution carried out from April 1.
The card holder will be given a token and accordingly the goods will have to be returned. Government employees will also be placed at each shop for checking.
There is enough allotment on each shop and this time there is no need to rush for thumb impression as there is an off-line supply. Free cereals will be provided to ration card holders registered under the National Food Security Act.
Five people from Rajkot are from the NFSA. Free grains will be distributed under the Government Scheme to those enrolled under the scheme.
Distribution of 8 kg wheat, rice, one kg sugar per person on ration card.
